IT'S REALLY BEER AND IT'S REALLY HOT

Come the winter months, you’ll find mulled beer in parts of Northern Europe. Called Grzaniec in Poland, and Glubier in Germany, the brew is warmed up and honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and citrus are added. It's beer that's been properly tinkered with.

In the UK this mulled beer was known as Purl. We had a bit of a tinker down in our shed, as we do, and Black Purl is our take on this warmest of winter warmers

TASTING NOTES:

A mulled dark brew, this complex barley wine will warm the cockles of your heart this winter. With a vast range of specialty malts paired with the subtle hops and a unique yeast. The malty backbone is balanced by the addition of some warming winter spices. If you look deep into this amazing beer you will find a deep reddish hue.
